New Lease of Life for a Tired Trunk

This trunk was looking worse for wear when we took it in but, after giving it a sturdy new lid, a new lid stay and some tlc, it's looking much better. The trunk exterior has been painted in Annie Sloan Graphite and the interior in Old White. It's been waxed with clear and dark waxes and copper gilding waxes added to highlight the embossed patterns within the wood. The finished colour and affect is particularly suited to Edwardian/Victorian hall and porch tiles but would equally at home in an older property..
