An Unusual 1940's Writing Bureau and Display Case
This elegant writing bureau exterior has been painted in a mix of Annie Sloan Château Grey and Versailles and sealed with clear and dark waxes. I have added a flower detail to the front desk flap and sides of the cabinet as well as gold gilding wax to embossed details. We replaced the tired old locks for brass teardrop door handles and a period brass desk knob.
To compliment the classic exterior, the desk and shelving have been painted in Annie Sloan Rodmell and Henrietta with gold detail on the shelf edges and new leather added to the writing desk..
